Health and Safety – Why Bother?

Moral Responsibility
Employers have a moral responsibility to ensure the Health & Safety of their work force and the general public.

Legal Responsibility
Employers with five or more employees are required to prepare a written statement of their general Health & Safety policy setting out aims and objectives for improving health and safety.

Employers must appoint one or more competent persons to provide occupational health and safety assistance.

Financial Responsibility
Employees who are injured or made ill at work are entitled to sue their employer for compensation.  This will only succeed if they can establish that their employer was negligent, and/or in breach of their statutory duty.

All courses can be delivered as closed courses for companies if required and many can be delivered bespoke to fit your company requirements.

Carnegie Enterprise offers high quality, innovative and accessible learning, training and business services.  In partnership with Carnegie College we have a history of delivering successful training and real focus on designing our services around the needs of our customers.
