Health and Safety and Quality Systems in Scotland

Carnegie Enterprise working in partnership with Carnegie College is dedicated to delivering Health and Safety training for every sector.  Our courses are designed to appeal to everyone from the shop floor to the boardroom, and provide practical advice and techniques that can be implemented in the workplace.  All of our Health and Safety courses are carried out by qualified and experienced trainers who maintain their competency in their specialist fields.  The hands on practical experience that our trainers bring to our courses guarantees an excellent learning experience.

Health and Safety - Why Bother?

Moral Responsibility
Employers have a moral responsibility to ensure the Health & Safety of their work force and the general public.

Legal Responsibility
Employers with five or more employees are required to prepare a written statement of their general Health & Safety policy setting out aims and objectives for improving health and safety.
Employers must appoint one or more competent persons to provide occupational health and safety assistance.

Financial Responsibility
Employees who are injured or made ill at work are entitled to sue their employer for compensation.  This will only succeed if they can establish that their employer was negligent, and/or in breach of their statutory duty.

All courses can be delivered as closed courses for companies if required and many can be delivered bespoke to fit your company requirements.
