Welder Assessment, Training and Coding

Aims

Our aim is to enable candidates to receive training, undergo assessment and/or undertake tests for accreditation to achieve an agreed standard in welding skills. This can be from basic welding, through BS 4872 and ANSI standards, up to Professional Coding and Qualification of Weld Procedures.

Structure

The programme is bespoke to the individual and/or company. Typically the candidate undertakes an assessment with our highly skilled and experienced staff, which then enables an agreed training and/or testing programme for them to achieve their objectives. This can be from very basic welding skills, up to welder coding. Where appropriate we can develop a procedure, or use a customer's approved procedure. MIG, TIG and MMA welding processes are all available. Please contact us to discuss your requirements and your experience, in order that we can agree a programme, possible dates and an appropriate cost, etc.

Content

This is a bespoke programme, but can include one or more elements from:

(1) Assessment
(2) Training and Practice
(3) Testing and
(4) Procedure, Development and Approval

Career Opportunities

People undertaking such a programme are normally seeking to use the skills and qualification to progress in a welding or engineering environment.

Progression

The candidate may be able to progress from basic welding capability through to higher quality welder coding. This would necessitate them gaining significant experience in the workplace.

Entry Requirements

For basic welding the candidate needs to have basic manual dexterity and hand-eye co-ordination.

For Welder Coding the candidate needs to have considerable welding experience.
