Microsoft Publisher is desk top publishing software that has been designed for people who need to produce professional-looking publications without the support of design specialists.

Structure

Microsoft Publisher can be delivered to introductory or advanced level. Each level is scheduled into a 1-day programme.

Content

This course will cover the following topics:

Introductory Level

• Recognise the screen layout

• Use help facilities

• Save, open and close publications

• Edit text

• Format text with effects, colour, bullets and numbering etc

• Work with frames

• Create and use tables

• Insert and manipulate pictures and WordArt

• Manipulate objects

• Use wizards to create impressive publications easily

Intermediate/Advanced Level

Create, edit, save and print publications containing:

• Drawing objects

• Multiple pages

• Background images

• Reverse text

Be able to:

• E-mail files

• Prepare files for printing

• Create web pages with hotspots, hyperlinks and other features

• Use mail merge
