Leading Change

Aims

Aim
In turbulent times it is easy to be swamped by the waves of change that come at us (both as individuals and as organisations) seemingly from all directions. Despite the impact that change might have on us as individuals, leaders and managers within organisations, we need to find a way to ride the waves and take our people with us – recognising of course that they may well have different fears and concerns to ours. Our ability to be ahead of the waves rather than swamped by them will be a mark of us all as leaders and managers.

This programme aims to identify how to recognise the impact of change and to take the appropriate action for the benefit of the individual and the organisation.

Structure
This programme will be highly interactive drawing on everyone’s experience of the difficulties and opportunities presented by change. It will explore how to recognise the impact of change on individuals and how to support them, what organisations which thrive on change actually do so that they are ahead of their competitors and how you can create both the climate to take advantage of change and the guiding coalition that will drive change throughout your organisation.

Content
The objectives of this workshop are to:

• Look at the process of change and identify the different stages that people and organisations go through when dealing with change.

• Identify the different reactions that individuals have in the face of change, and learn how to differentiate them.

• Explore how to support people through the process of change.

• Identify the key steps organisations should take to ensure they drive change rather than are swamped by it.

• Identify the key roles in driving change and how to select people for those roles.

• Produce an action plan so that each attendee takes a specific action back into the workplace with them that will be of benefit to themselves and their organisation

Suitable for
This workshop is suitable for all middle and senior managers who are either responsible for staff within an organisation or who are responsible for projects that will have an impact across the organisation.

Post-Programme Forum
An on-line discussion forum will be available to all delegates after the programme so that you can share your experience of leading change, exchange views and build a business network with fellow attendees.
