Certificate in Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations (C&G 2391 - 10)
Aims
This course is aimed at an experienced electrician, holding the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification, who wishes to inspect and test electrical installations. It is recognised by NICEIC.
Structure
This can be delivered as a 4 day course at our School of Engineering and Technology, or as a combination of distance learning plus attendance for the practical training and examination. City and Guilds closed book examinations take place bi-monthly, and the practical examination is by arrangement.
Content
The following subject areas are covered; providing underpinning knowledge and practical competence in inspection and testing of electrical installations. Successfully passing a written examination and a practical assessment will lead to the award of the nationally recognised qualification.
Career Opportunities
This qualification is mandatory for those electricians and managers responsible for the inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations.

There is no formal progression route from this qualification,
