Display Screen Equipment - Assessors
Aims
Computers (PCs) occupy many desks in offices and control many pieces of equipment in the workplace. The Display Screens (VDU, Monitors etc) associated have specific legislation covering the key potential Health & Safety issues, reduction of risk and the assessment of such.
On completing the course, students will be able to recognise the legislative requirements, identify key health and safety issues and produce credible assessments on Display Screen Equipment.
Structure
This course can be delivered in house at Rosyth campus or on site at the company's premises. This course is half a day's duration and is theory based. It is delivered in a lecture room environment.

- Workstation Analysis
- Practical Assessment
- Management of Assessment Procedures.
Career Opportunities
This course is applicable to all managers and supervisors with the responsibility for PC operators and will provide them with the information and knowledge to assess Display Screen Equipment (DSE) workstations.
Progression
Participants can continue their development by progressing to other Health and Safety courses.
Entry Requirements
There is no requirement to provide evidence of qualification or skills but candidates should be employed in a role that will benefit from the teachings of this course.
